Dear family and friends:

Cindy and I recently returned from spending some time with her mom, who had hip replacement surgery. It gave us the opportunity for reunion with family and with a number of our friends and ministry partners.

The work of ministry doesn’t stop, of course, when we’re on the road, as some of us were this summer. Mike continued to conduct chat Bible studies host open counseling sessions, participate in conference calls and answer e-mails.

Some other staff members raised ministry support or worked on one of several projects our ministry has underway. One of the announcements we can make is that as of today (8/23/10) our “ARC-2” system for response is released to all of our volunteer communities. We’re hoping it will dramatically improve our volunteers’ ability to track contacts’ discipleship progress and that it will be even easier to use.

Another current project is our new FollowingThePath.com website, a “next step” after new believers have been taught the basics on our LookToJesus.com or New Believer’s Guide section of iChristianLife.com. ARC-2 has been designed to help volunteers track their disciples’ progress on these sites.

Our Jesus2020.com website recently received a design update, (see above), and will soon be incorporating material from all our websites, as we move to consolidate our websites for a better user experience and search engine optimization. Please pray that we can achieve this!

As the last e-mail demonstrates, sometimes it’s a long time between the planting and the new life--but the ARC system helped me stay connected to the original contact from 2006!
