Dear Family and Friends:

I recently created some video resources for helping us recruit volunteers to counsel those who respond to our sites. Watching the videos in the process of editing them was an inspiring experience. You may not realize it, but volunteers are a crucial part of most ministries’ strategies; and Global Media Outreach is no exception to this rule.

A few weeks ago, I conversed with one of our volunteers in India during my weekly chat Bible study. I discovered that Mathew is a missionary scholar in India, a former pioneer Bible translator who contracted viral myelitis and is now paralyzed in both legs as a result. He volunteers in the response center, participates in our chat Bible study, and travels to conduct seminars on prayer.

Sarah is a volunteer with Cerebral Palsy, dependent on her mom even for her regular feeding, who has nevertheless ministered to over 600 people as a GMO volunteer using a specially equipped computer. She is now a trained community leader of up to 25 other volunteers, responsible for dozens of responses each week.

“I have been blessed to be part of this ministry,” she writes,  “The computer and the Internet have opened up worlds to me, and part of that is allowing me to help others through this ministry.”

Last August, I met Florence in Southern California and invited her to become a part of our ministry. Her eagerness and diligence in counseling seekers is now legendary among our team. She has quickly became a leader of two other “communities” of volunteers (67 total!) and now provides guidance for them as they answer questions each day and share prayer requests. She testifies that they’ve seen healings, miraculous provision for finances, and also seen their online work become a concrete testimony to family members. I'd like you to read Florence's own descriptions of two of her over 6,800 personal responses:“

Oh wow! I got a response from a man in India - Mike! He was a Hindu and in his e-mail to me he told me he as a Hindu use to pray to the gods - he said there are over 100 Hindu gods.

And he never heard any voice…

He was told by a friend about Jesus so he prayed and received the Lord and his family cast him out.

Persecutions followed and now, he is a pastor there of 300 people! …WOW!  He spoke about Jacob and how he wrestled with the Lord and this was his own experience but he went to sleep one night and he heard the Lord speak to him.  He woke up weeping! …And now he says his whole family are Christians!  WOOHOO.

Plus he wants to be involved in our ministry! WOW! I gave him the response center's e-mail address and the growinginchrist [web] address. Oh wow! WWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW

I am so excited… so excited… I have to contain this.… and remember the standards of this ministry… nothing personal… no location… I WANT TO GO TO INDIA AND MEET THESE PEOPLE !!! WOW! oh wow! —Flo

“Then there  is the male who wrote ‘I was checking football scores on my mobile phone and across the screen came these words “Do you want to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior right now?”’ And the prayer he prayed reading his mobile phone screen led him to Christ. He wrote saying ‘I am sitting in my car with tears streaming down my face!’

“I am more than excited about this ministry,” Florence adds, “I am ecstatic…! So many people are waiting for us to get home to heaven so we can finally meet. I am the one with the heart birthmark on my right forearm…”

Florence’s enthusiasm is contagious—and a great reminder that GMO’s small missionary team which we’re a part of is just the tip of a big “iceberg” representing hundreds of volunteer counselors like Florence, Sarah and Mathew—and hundreds of financial supporters and prayer warriors such as yourself! Thank you for making our work possible!

With love in Christ,
