Dear Family and Friends:

They were from a tiny region called Galilee. They hadn't been exceptional in heritage, skills or credentials...

In the preceding few weeks, their hopes had been dashed to pieces. They'd been scattered by fear when Jesus was arrested and put to death. It was the news of His resurrection that reunited them. They returned to Galilee, saw Him with their own eyes, and He re-commissioned them, telling them to return to Jerusalem and wait until the time was right, then preach repentance and exoneration from sins in His name, beginning at Jerusalem and going to all nations.

When the promised power came upon them, they used the God-given opportunity of the Pentecost celebration as a platform to declare the Gospel to visitors who represented most of the then-known world. The Bible records that 3,000 people were added to their number in a single day. And that assembly began the real labor in God's field, the world. The Gospel spread from this crossroads midpoint to the continents of Europe, Africa and Asia.

Today, Global Media Outreach celebrates our biggest milestone to date, God's answer to this year's prayer goal...nearly two months early. Let me share with you what we have to be thankful for this year!

On November 6, 2007, the 1,000,000th person indicated a decision for Christ this year. That's the equivalent of over 3,000 people per day, for every day of this year!

We haven't borne the burden and heat of the day. Yet God has given us a platform and a rich opportunity as well. He called us to work in His field. It's incredibly ripe for harvesting, because others have labored, and we just walked in, at the eleventh hour. It's not the planter or the waterer that matter, it's God who gives the increase, because of the power that accompanies the unadorned proclamation of His Word.

I really see this as historic. And I want to pass along the gratitude of our founder, Walt Wilson: “I don't quite know how to say ‘thank you’ adequately to everyone who worked to make that happen. Of course, it's not our work, but that of the Holy Spirit. God is supplying to us not only true results, but new workers with the skills, as well as the means to continue to grow.”

Please join us in our thankfulness to our good God and our prayer that the ratios hold, that at least another 176,000 people will respond to the Gospel over the remaining time this year. We thank YOU for your part in making all of this possible!

Let me share some of the stories from our work. One thing that is helping to make the acceleration of our work possible is our new website for mobile telephones, http://www.4stepsToGod.mobi. Did you know that there are twice as many people worldwide with cell phones as people on the Internet? Here are a few of the 13 responses I’ve received from mobile phones:

Linge from Johannesburg, indicates his rededication to Christ, saying: “My life is lonely, messy and demotivated.” Alok, from New Dehi, prayed to receive Christ for the first time on Oct. 3rd. Redrose01, also browsing from a mobile phone in Oslo, prayed to receive Christ Oct. 15th. And surfing his phone in Tanzania, Lewis responded to the Gospel, then wrote us: "You're doing a great work, keep it up!"

And Vivien, from Malaysia, who has been asking me questions about the Christian faith since 2005, recently wrote me: “Thank you for the wonderful answer again, it was most informative. I'm doing fine, in fact, I [was] baptized last year and I did attend church almost every week. I appreciate your assistance very much. Now I'm trying to bring more people to believe in Jesus Christ, therefore I need your assistance to get ready myself.”

The life-changing Gospel the Apostles preached is the same one going forth on the computer and mobile telephone networks of today. If Linge, Alok, Redrose01, Lewis and Vivien could do so, they would thank you personally for the part you play in announcing Jesus’ message of eternal life and forgiveness of sins in His name to them! It’s our pleasure to be able to do so for them! With love and gratitude in Christ,
